Support for Wertingen’s Music Story

It’s not a musical, it’s not a theatre, it’s not an art exhibition, it’s not a ballet or an acrobatic performance… it’s all in one: Wertingen’s Music Story takes you through 900 years of Wertingen’s history with all its emotions. The performances have about 450 participants: Stadtkapelle Wertingen, Musikschule der Stadt Wertingen, dancers and gymnasts of TSV Buttenwiesen, the art classes of all Wertingen schools, pupils from the Theater AG and many other protagonists organise this event, which will be performed on 17 July in the Festspielhaus Füssen and on 23 July in the Wertingen Stadthalle . With so much community spirit, it was no question for the EM Group, as one of the largest local employers, to support both financially and organisationally.

At the nomination event on 28 June, the works of art (pictures, drawings, videos) were nominated that had been created by the pupils of Wertingen’s schools – all age groups were included: from first-graders to graduates. The artworks form the stage set of Wertingen’s Music Story in digitalised form.  Ulrike Bitzer, Head of Global Brand Management was part of the five-member jury that selected the 24 pictures from the 410 artworks back in April. Together with the art professor, Prof. Dr. Kirchner from Augsburg and Tobias Steinbacher, member of the board of EM Group, she handed over the prizes to the proud students.

In his speech, Tobias Steinbacher took up the thought  of Nobel Prize winner Marie Curie that there are many talents in each of us. Coupled with perseverance, students and adults alike can rely on these talents throughout their lives, believe in themselves and thus achieve their goals.

EM Group is proud to be a part of this great event.
