With the “Sales Academy”, the EM Group has created an internal training platform that guarantees sustainable learning success. “The more emotions are aroused in people, the easier it is for information to be remembered,” says Önder Altunakar, Managing Director of the Swiss branch and initiator of the Europe-wide internal Sales Academy. The new learning platform for the employees in the customer-facing areas therefore not only offers knowledge about the products, structure, maintenance and services, but one has also made use of the advantages of “gamification”. Colleagues from all countries and areas challenge each other in product knowledge and have fun in their battles. It was important to Önder Altunakar that employees can access the platform from their computers, mobile phones and tablets. “Only if knowledge can be accessed from anywhere will it be accepted.”
Courses and battles are mapped in German, French, Spanish, English and Italian. “We have thus managed to get new colleagues -for example in the field sales force- “product fit” in half the time compared to before the Sales Akademy.” Altunakar is pleased.
Many other areas in the EM Group are pleased about the advance from the Sales area, because the platform will certainly also become a learning platform for many other areas in the future.
